I hope all of you are shoveled out of the Blizzard of 2015! When I photographed Alyson and Kyle’s winter wedding there was just a dusting of snow on the ground. It was the perfect amount of snow to make everything look like an idyllic new england winter scene. It could have been just a bit warmer but you can’t tell by the portraits that it was 20 degrees outside! I was so looking forward to their wedding after photographing Alyson and Kyle’s engagement session at Appleton Farms in Ipswich last Fall. It’s always like meeting back up with an old friend after an engagement session. Their wedding was all in one location at The Commons in Topsfield. They have a great space for ceremonies inside and outside. I was loving all the natural light with the large windows. Two moments stand out that were so funny, one was the kiss. Ok it wasn’t the kiss that was funny but it was such a great one that Alyson’s veil popped right off, oh my! The other funny moment was the cake cutting. Alyson really smushed that piece of cake and I just noticed now how there is part of the slice rolling down Kyle’s coat! There was quite the dancing crowd at this wedding. They started dancing early and were on their feet the whole night. Thanks so much for having us document your wedding! Thanks so much to Darcy for assisting. A bunch of her photos from guys getting ready are in the mix and a couple of great dancing shots.
